No! Teeth whitening is considered a cosmetic or luxury treatment and IS NOT covered by Medical Aid.

How long does a teeth whitening treatment take?

Our in-chair treatment takes 1 hour to complete. Treatment consists of 3 Gel & UV Sessions)

Why should I have my teeth whitened?

I have braces: Can I do teeth whitening?

It is NOT recommend! We suggest using our Whitening Powder/Toothpaste to help with discoloration during your braces journey. After the removal of braces, there is a recommended waiting period of approximately 30 to 45 days before you should consider Teeth Whitening.

Should I whiten my teeth before getting a filling, cap, crown, veneer or implant ?

Opting for teeth whitening before receiving veneers, caps, crown or fillings is an excellent choice, as it ensures a perfect match with the new shaded color of your teeth.

Can I have Teeth Whitening with sensitive teeth, receding gums and cavities?

Our whitening is suitable for your specific condition as we work with care around concerned areas with care to avoid sensitivity!

Should I have Dental Teeth Cleaning before Teeth whitening?

Wait at least 24 hour after teeth cleaning if you have sensitive gums or teeth as a clean could possibly cause sensitivity or inflammation to your teeth/gums!

Is Dental Teeth Cleaning compulsory before teeth whining?

While teeth cleaning is not always compulsory before teeth whitening, it is highly recommended when there is visible plaque on the front surface of your teeth. Ideally it’s in your best interest to have a clean every 6 month.

Will my veneers, crowns or bridges be whitened?

As our UV whitening procedure removes essentially surface stain, It can help restore the original color of crowns, veneers and bridges. It is important to know, however, our gel is formulated to work best on your natural teeth. We will our best to match your natural teeth to your artificial teeth for a evenly shaded color, but we cannot guarantee this.

How often can teeth whitening be done?

Our gel formula is enamel safe. We recommend waiting 7 days before scheduling a booster appointment. This precaution is in place to prevent any potential sensitivity or irritation to the gums or lips area caused by the UV Lamp.

What should I do to keep my teeth whiter for a longer period of time after the treatment?

Other than diet, we have a selection of products designed for your teeth whitening needs. They work by extending the results and effortlessly eliminating surface stains from the convenience of your home.

After your teeth whitening treatment!

It’s important to maintain those amazing results and keep your smile bright, follow these essential instructions within the 24-hour window after your whitening with us:

  • Refrain from eating anything 30-45 minutes after you whitening treatment. Water is allowed.
  • Avoid dark Staining Foods and Beverages: Steer clear of coffee, tea, red wine, berries, and dark sauces during this time. Opt for lighter foods and clear beverages to minimize staining or alternatively a straw.
  • Refrain from Tobacco Use: Smoking and chewing tobacco can lead to discolouration. Avoid these products to preserve your white smile. Vaping is allowed.
  • Practice Gentle Oral Hygiene: Brush your teeth gently with a soft-bristled/sonic toothbrush and toothpaste to minimize sensitizing your gums.
  • Follow “The white diet”: Be aware of major stain culprits, such as red wine, tomato-based foods, energy drinks, tea, coffee, sauces, spices and soups not recommended.
  • Acidic foods and beverages open up the pores of the tooth enamel allowing stains to more easily penetrate your teeth, unless you use a straw to avoid fluids from getting on your teeth.
  • You can still eat chicken, fish, meats, rice, pasta, anything light such as Alfredo pasta.
  • Wait at least 6 days before getting a caps, veneers, crowns or fillings done to match the new colour of your teeth.
